Getting to Newark on Trent
Rail
Newark has two railway stations. The East Coast Main Line runs through Newark North Gate railway station providing links to London, Leeds, Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh. Newark Castle railway station lies on the Leicester – Nottingham – Lincoln line providing cross country regional links.
If arriving by train from Newark Northgate then turn left when coming out of the station and head along Appleton Gate, passing Jackson’s Builders merchants, then crossing Sleaford Road to head towards the town centre, picking up the black finger post signs towards the Market Place.
If arriving at Newark Castle then head over the river bridge into the town centre, again following the finger post signs.
Road
Located on the A1 and the A46, Newark is reasonably easy to access, simply follow the signs to the town centre car parks and then follow the small finger signs (on black posts) to the market place where the event is based. Please note that all of the District Council run car parks charge on Sundays.
Toilets and changing facilities
Toilets will be available in the market place (portaloos) as well as at Newark College, London Road car park and Riverside Park. Changing facilities and a baggage drop are available at Newark College.
